How We Deliver

The Academy provides a comprehensive, industry-applicable study of 3D printing, computer aided design (CAD), electronics and programming and is taught heavily using the Socratic method of inquiry and discussion.

We emphasize cross-disciplinary approaches and the process. In addition to the girls acquiring computer science and engineering skills, they develop problem solving, collaboration and team work skills critical for success in the future global economy.

3D Printing Academy for Girls runs in three time blocks at each site: After school (twice a week for 90 minutes per session for 10 weeks), during the fall, winter and spring academic quarters, on Saturdays (once a week for 3 hours per session for 10 weeks), during fall, winter and spring academic quarters and seasonal camps (6 hours per day for five days) during spring, winter and summer break.
